It does not take a degree in political science or an advanced knowledge of historic cultural trends to see that our nation is on downward spiral morally and socially. We are faced with daily political corruption and ineptitude on both sides of the aisle. We are also confronted with serious international threats that our leaders are struggling to address in a timely and capable manner. Our nation is in need of prayer. Our leaders are in need of prayer.
Given our current political climate it has become commonplace to simply identify with a particular party regardless of the issue or the position taken. Very little personal thought is put into much of our political process. This is a call to prayer for our nation and its leaders. It is not a call to prayer for or against a particular political party or movement. It is a desire to see the glory of God made manifest in our nation through our political process. This month you will be challenged to overcome your particular political bias and simply pray for the will of God and the pursuit of truth.
