For the month of May we want to focus our prayer on lifting up the churches in our community. It is sometimes easy to get tunnel vision and only see the followers of Christ within our own faith family. We can even be tempted, as Elijah was, to believe that we are the only servants God has left. This, of course, is far from the truth. We have many brothers and sisters in neighboring churches that are fighting the same fight of faith that we are at Northside.
Let us commit to lifting up our brothers and sisters in Christ as well as the pastors of the various congregations of our community. We will have the honor of worshiping God for all eternity alongside them. Therefore, let us take advantage of the honor of praying for them and serving beside them today.
