For the month of April we, as a congregation, will be focused on praying for global missions and the persecuted church. There are over 300,000 men and women around the world that have committed their lives to full time foreign mission work. They are isolated from their families and are often the only Christians in the region upon first arrival. They need to be lifted up in prayer.
There are also thousands of Christians being persecuted every day for their faith in Christ. Men and women are ostracized from their family and community because they confess Jesus as Lord. In many African countries Christians are labeled as “mentally ill”. It is estimated that over 40 Christians are martyred for their faith every single day. Pray for the persecuted church and for those that persecute her.
